Well, this is a post I thought I’d never be expecting to write in 2007. Technically it’s a page but that’s because I’d rather set it to a static page in case my blogroll glitches.
This is my final blog post.
In 2004, I got bit with what I called the Blogging Bug. I had a desire to write and the want to share it with everyone. I was there for the dawn of the blogosphere….if it’s even still called that. In 2007, I was a fresh-eyed 22-year-old who had just graduated with his bachelor’s degree. I bought my own domain for myself as a graduation present. Between graduation and the start of graduate school, I put out 300 words a day with nary a second thought. Graduate school came and I had to focus everything I had on it, leaving this on hiatus. Then came 2009 which basically shut me down.
Not to worry though, 2011 brought me right back. with a passion for blogs and being a regular in #blogchat on Twitter. I thought I’d never walk away from blogging.
Yet here we are, seven years later. My body seems to have developed immunity to the bug’s bite. My passion seems to be no more. Even writing this post feels like a chore. I write this with about 95% certainty that this will be the last blog post I will ever write.
I’ll still write content from time to time, but it will be articles cross-posted from Medium. I still plan to write a book attacking the Law of Attraction although that too is on the backburner.
I suppose being that I’m not as young as I used to be played a factor into this. I don’t have the energy that I did at 22, and I feel like my job and relaxation come first.
I’m not completely exiting the creative stage though. I started getting into photography. You can see my Instagram posts here, as well as on my account.
But I think it’s safe to say my writing days are over. At least on a day-to-day basis. Really though, those days were over years ago.
I may redo this site one last time, but to focus on my photography and maybe my projects elsewhere, including the fucking LOA book.
Til Then…happy writing.
